APIS has established itself as a leading biotech company in the North West of England with headquarters in the heart of Manchester and business entities in Bonn, Germany (Clickmer Systems GmbH) and Belgrade, Serbia (APIS Assay Technologies DOO Belgrade-Palilula).
Our Story
APIS Headquarters are in Manchester (UK)
Since APIS was founded in the autumn of 2018 it has established a comprehensive diagnostic development capability, acquired a bioinformatics and software capability, developed specific biomarkers capable of transforming disease management, expertly delivered on contract development for clients and established its reputation as an international developer of transformative diagnostic solutions.
Our name APIS comes from Manchester!
The symbol of Manchester is the Worker Bee
Apis is the Latin name for the genus of the Bee (Apis mellifera = Honey Bee
It’s the city of industry that is rightly proud of its link with the hard-working insect

We split our in-house biomarker product development evenly with contract development work.
We offer end-to-end product development that can be supported by either the bioinformatic and Clickmer systems teams where needed.
We hold both ISO 13485 medical device manufacturing and ISO 27001 Information security management that enables full coverage of the IVD development pipeline.
