APIS SARS-CoV-2 IgG ELONA Kit
APIS SARS-CoV-2 IgG ELONA Kit
The APIS SARS-CoV-2 IgG ELONA Kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked oligonucleotide assay (ELONA) intended for the quantitative detection of IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 spike protein in human serum (obtained by venous or capillary puncture). This kit demonstrates the capabilities and advantages of Clickmer ‘modified aptamers’ and offers improvements over the traditional ELISA antibody-only based approaches.
There is an ongoing need for the quantification of antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 to evaluate the immunity status of patients following infection and vaccination. Results from this assay will aid in clinical decision making, vaccine development and booster dosing, disease prevention and research studies.
Clickmer Optimised Oligonucleotide Secondary
The APIS SARS-CoV-2 IgG ELONA Kit uses a click-reaction optimised oligonucleotide secondary binder, referred to as a Clickmer. Clickmers consist of a single-stranded DNA backbone, which contains additional chemical moieties, introduced using the Nobel Prize winning “Click-Chemistry.” They form a three-dimensional structure and adaptively bind to their target with high specificity and affinity. The Clickmer used in this kit specifically recognises the Fc-fragment of human IgG antibodies and can therefore be used for their detection, similarly to traditional secondary antibodies.
Benefits of Using Clickmer Technology in the APIS SARS-CoV-2 IgG ELONA Kit
Delivers highly repeatable and reproducible results
Clickmer’s synthetic synthesis ensures batch-to-batch continuity, reproducibility and reliability
High throughput testing, up to 88 individual samples per plate
Reports SARS-CoV-2 IgG levels according to NIBSC working reagent (21/234)
Benefits of Using Clickmer Technology in the APIS SARS-CoV-2 IgG ELONA Kit
Contains one 96 well microplate coated with SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, sufficient HRP and Clickmer to human IgG and other reagents to perform the ELONA
Clickmer secondary binds to the Fc-fragment of human IgG antibodies with high specificity and affinity
Positive and a Negative Controls confirm validity of the test
The Calibrators provide known concentrations of anti-spike protein IgG to allow for quantitation of the IgG antibody levels detected in patient samples
Accompanied by a validated APIS analysis template that enables automated results calling
